CHARLES
"TREY" W. BRANHAM, III is the Principal of the Law Offices of Charles
W. Branham, III. Trey received his B.S. in political science in 1992
from Florida State University and his J.D. cum laude in 1999 from the
University of South Carolina School of Law, where he was an associate
articles editor of the South Carolina Law Review from 1998 to 1999.
Trey is licensed to practice law in Texas (1999).
Prior
to joining Waters & Kraus, Trey was employed by Akin, Gump,
Strauss, Hauer & Feld, LLP where his practice focused on
business and companies, from early stage to multinational
conglomerates, including early round, mezzanine and public financing
and corporate structure. He was deeply involved in all aspects of
private investment funds, including domestic and offshore hedge fund
formation, negotiation and structure.
Before
joining Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, Trey served as a law
clerk to the Honorable Joe Kendall, United States District Court Judge
for the Northern District of Texas. Additionally, he served as a member
of United States Senator Strom Thurmond's (deceased) personal staff in
Washington, D.C., from 1992 to 1994.
Trey’s
varied background and experience in both the Boardroom and the
Courtroom make him uniquely qualified to handle litigation at every
level. Trey has extensive experience in complex litigation including
toxic tort, product liability, pharmaceutical and commercial litigation
as well as securities law.
